Costa Mediterranea is one of largest of the new Costa ships and features elegant Italian interiors including a Central Hall that spans 8 decks and a wide range of facilities.  Costa Mediterranea passengers tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly European with Americans in the Caribbean. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 40.5 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2.3 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 32 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 2.9 passengers.

Casual and comfortable during the day. Evenings range from smart casual (shirt & slacks) to informal (jacket and slacks for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.
