Norwegian Star was designed for freestyle cruising and has ten distinctive restaurants, 14 separate lounges and bars and a wealth of activities. However the increased venues result in reduced deck space.  Norwegian Star passengers tend to be mixed ages and American and some International. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 40.2 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 32.1 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 2.5 passengers.

DRESS CODE
Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). The optional formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.
TIPPING
Ten dollars per passenger per day is added to your onboard bill and 15% to all drinks. Ann extra charge is made for dining in selected onboard restaurants.
